A Taste of Success

Let's face it, everyone wants to experience success when attempting to do things that are genuinely gratifying to each of us when accomplishing particular tasks. The same holds true when people come to you in need of help. People are interested in having their problems solved. When you are able to help people come up with a solution to their problems, you instantly become known as a problem solver. To sense the feelings of appreciation of success from attending to the needs of others is not only financially rewarding, but they are and can be psychologically and emotionally rewarding as well. The compliments we receive as business owners is what makes us want to
continue and never give up on making a difference in someone else's lives.
Even though you may not make a sale or do business with every person you meet, you could still find yourself feeling good about how you helped someone solve their concerns by sharing your knowledge and expertise in a particular area, or by being a resource to others. The feeling of being appreciated is when you actually see the fruit of your labor being implemented from the suggestions you made to make a difference in someone else's life or business.
I know I would like to be able to walk away from every deal I attempt to make, but it is a fact that every person I meet I do not always close a deal with them. I find though if I have given people or some business my honest effort and showed them the possibilities or results of how my services or products can benefit him or her, and they still pass on my presentation, then I still feel I have lost nothing except time. Time is valuable in many instances, the learning curve and the opportunity to be a blessing to others is just as valuable and satisfying as well. However, I am not in the business of making people feel good alone, I am in the business of helping people make informed decisions about their financial affairs and at the same time making money in the process showing others how to protect their assets. A taste of success with a sale, a paycheck, a bonus check, a promotion and an increase of income, vacation trips are all tastes of success that keeps a person motivated and the desire to continue in his or her profession.
Success is based on person's desire to reach his or her goals they have set for themselves and then start a new endeavor after one goal has been met and accomplished. A competitive spirit to be the best in your career choices and to faithfully pursue your passion will help determine if you will experience the success you are looking for in your career. What drives you to want to be at the number one spot in your company? What drives you to want to have the number one spot in the industry you currently serve as a business owner? Once you have had the pleasure of meeting someone else's needs, this is just the beginning of a continual cycle to follow through on all the opportunities that may present themselves.
